While she insists his death was an accident, some gods—including one of Baldr’s mothers, Odin—don’t believe her. Sigyn’s spouse.

As part of the treaty that ended that war, Frey, his sister Freyja, and their father were taken to Asgard as part of a hostage exchange. Frey now carries a quiet resentment for many of the Æsir who were involved in the war—particularly Odin, the leader of Asgard.

Heimdall also has the gift of foresight, which quite aids in his job protecting Asgard—he can see that people are headed to Asgard long before they reach the end of Bifröst.

The leader of the Æsir, Odin is also known as the Allmother. She’s been leading Asgard for billions of years and, if all goes well, will lead it for billions more. Odin has many sides to her—she’s a kind leader to her people, a spirited and loving (and sometimes mischievous) teacher to her followers, and a devastatingly skilled military leader and warrior who has ensured that Asgard has never been successfully invaded. Over the past few years, though, Odin hasn’t been herself at all. Her grief from losing her son and the immense weight of needing to stop Ragnarok has led to Odin withdrawing and becoming somewhat cold and bitter to those around her.

While Sif previously had a good relationship with her mother-in-law Odin, she now very openly dislikes her over her treatment of Loki post-Baldr’s death.

While Odin holds the title of Leader of Asgard, everybody in Asgard—including Odin herself—knows that Odin could never run Asgard without Frigg supporting her. When Odin is gone on journeys through the other realms, Frigg runs Odin in her absence and does so just as effectively as Odin. The only reason why Odin is the official leader of Asgard and not Frigg is that Frigg doesn’t particularly want to have the responsibility of running Asgard solely on her shoulders. She prefers to relax most of the time, then help with Asgard when needed.
